BOPP film company Treofan calls off Indian acquisition

Treofan Group, a global manufacturer of biaxially oriented polypropylene films, says it is no longer going to acquire India's Max Specialty Films, a subsidiary of New Delhi-based Max India Ltd., after both parties agreed to call of negotiations.

Wind Point Partners buys PU film maker Argotec

Private equity firm Wind Point Partners has acquired polyurethane sheet maker Argotec Inc. for an undisclosed price. Greenfield, Mass.-based Argotec makes specialty PU film for surface protection, impact-resistant glass and other applications.

Bemis sells Clysar shrink film division

Bemis Co. Inc. has sold its shrink film division Clysar to Cove Point Holdings LLC, a privately held investment firm based in New York. Renamed Clysar LLC, Clysar will operate as a stand-alone, independent company.
