Wind Point Partners buys PU film maker Argotec

Private equity firm Wind Point Partners has acquired polyurethane sheet maker Argotec Inc. for an undisclosed price. Greenfield, Mass.-based Argotec makes specialty PU film for surface protection, impact-resistant glass and other applications.

Bemis sells Clysar shrink film division

Bemis Co. Inc. has sold its shrink film division Clysar to Cove Point Holdings LLC, a privately held investment firm based in New York. Renamed Clysar LLC, Clysar will operate as a stand-alone, independent company.

California Senate rejects plastic bag ban
