CHICAGO - Plastics industry trade and professional associations from the United States, Canada and Mexico have formed a working alliance to cooperate in promoting and scheduling the trade shows and seminars that they sponsor. The group, which met Nov. 14 in Chicago, plans to address complaints about the proliferation of trade shows.
The alliance includes the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc., based in Washington; the Society of Plastics Engineers Inc., based in Brookfield, Conn.; Asociaci¢n Nacional de Industrias del Pl stico A.C. (Anipac), based in Mexico City; Organizaci¢n de Promociones y Exposiciones SA de CV (Oprex), based in Mexico City; and Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. of Canada, based in Don Mills, Ontario.
