LEWISBURG, TENN. - Lewisburg injection molder Kantus Corp. has merged with sister company Kantus Engineering Corp. of Southfield, Mich., to consolidate design and manufacturing functions. Kantus Corp., which had total 1994 sales of about $180 million, makes instrument clusters for the automotive market.
The two firms completed the merger earlier this year and now handle engineering and design in Southfield and manufacturing in Tennessee, said Kathy Warren, sales and marketing specialist with Kantus Corp.
Warren said the merger, done primarily to streamline corporate operations, will not affect production.
Both firms are subsidiaries of Kansei Corp. of Omiya, Japan, and will operate under the name Kantus Corp.
