ROSEMONT, ILL. - The National Housewares Manufacturers Association has canceled a housewares exhibit and trade mission scheduled for June 13-15 in Mexico City. The Rosemont group made the decision after the number of exhibitors dropped to 20 from 31 initially.
The show was to be held at the U.S. Trade Center as a replacement for a general merchandise show earlier planned for June by NHMA and Mexico's retail group Asociacion Nacional de Tiendas de Autoservicio y Departamentales. ANTAD postponed that show a year ago because of Mexico's political uncertainties. NHMA and ANTAD plan to hold a general merchandising show in Mexico in June 1996 featuring North American firms.
