ANAHEIM, CALIF. - A management team with major funding from Equus Capital Investments of Houston has formed a company to operate a group of high-tech businesses thatwas acquired April 29 from Brunswick Corp. The terms were not disclosed.
The new firm, Atlanta*-*based Technical Products Group Inc., employs nearly 1,000. It expects 1995 sales of about $118 million in advanced composites, and aerospace and defense products, President Jim Carter said in an interview at SAMPE in Anaheim.
The businesses include military aircraft radome manufacturer Marion Composites in Marion, Va.; composite structures filament winder Lincoln Composites in Lincoln, Neb., and Camden, Ark.; and advanced electronic and electro-optical component manufacturer Intellitec in DeLand, Fla.
Dwight Byrd, Jim Fuller and Hank Lattanzi will continue as division presidents.
Brunswick, based in Lake Forest, Ill., reported 1994 sales of $2.7 billion. Robert Sigrist, who headed the Brunswick technical group, is director of the new firm.
