NEW YORK - Continental Can Co. Inc. has digested its last plate of acquisitions and is heading back to the buffet table. The Syosset, N.Y., company is looking at several opportunities, and has signed secrecy agreements with some potential targets, said Donald J. Bainton, chairman and chief executive.
``We are certainly looking at any available blown plastic [bottle] businesses that are available at a reasonable price,'' he said.
Continental Can's 1994 sales of $537.2 million included 46 percent generated from its Continental Plastic Containers Inc. blow molding unit.
Bainton also hinted that Continental Can may look at new markets - the company is already a player in Europe in cans and flexible packaging - and that the parent may move to CPC's headquarters in Norwalk, Conn.
