A June 12, Page 3 article had misleading statements about Norton Performance Plastics Corp. It plans to develop a range of new tubing products with the help of recently acquired Patter Products Inc. Norton is not developing silicone-blend tubing to address disposal problems.
A June 19, Page 39 story about the Flexible Packaging Association's new officials contained incorrect information. Len Azzaro, newly named president and chief executive officer of Dow Chemical Canada Inc., was named vice chairman of FPA's Government Relations Committee. However, he will be replaced on the committee by R. Peter Toohy, manager of plastic sales for Chevron Chemical Co. Also, Ray Klear, Dow Plastics' new director of sales, Polyolefins and Elastomers Group, will assume Azzaro's position as an FPA director. Joyce Dickerson, director of marketing and sales for national accounts at RJR Packaging, was named FPA treasurer. Her name was omitted.
A June 26, Page 18 photo caption did not include the names of all the suppliers of recycled products for the Tiffany Street Pier in New York. Those not named include Plastic Pilings Inc. of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Envirowood Inc. of Mount Prospect, Ill.; Hammer's Plastic Recycling, now known as Plastic Recycling Inc., of Iowa Falls, Iowa; and Envirosafe Products Inc. of Staten Island, N.Y.
