NORTHLAKE, ILL. - W.R. Scholle, chairman of the board of Scholle Corp., is retiring from the specialty packaging company. He is being succeeded as chairman by Vincent Keefe, who also serves as the firm's president and chief executive officer.
Scholle founded the Northlake-based company in 1947 and has remained its top executive since then. He is credited with developing the first bag-in-box package used in wine, fountain syrup and dairy packaging.
The firm has nine operations in North America, and facilities in Australia and the Netherlands.
