Teflon MP 1600N has more consistent properties than conventional micropowders. It is available as a 60-percent dispersion with viscosity of about 20 centipoises.

LNP Engineering Plastics' new extrusion grade of polytetrafluoroethylene-lubricated acetal has better melt stability for machinable rod, slab and profiles.
Fulton 404 DE LE is aimed at gears, cams, valve seats and other sliding contact parts. It has high load-bearing capacity, a flexural modulus of 350,000 pounds per square inch and tensile strength of 7,750 psi.

Custom Compounding touts its PTFE resin
Custom Compounding Inc.'s new polytetrafluoroethylene resin fills the performance and price gap between conventional PTFE and perfluoro-alkoxy resins, according to the company, a unit of Hoechst Celanese Corp.
Hostaflon TFM has improved creep resistance, impermeability, light transmission and dielectric strength.
The chemically modified PTFE can be compression molded, blow molded, vacuum formed or made into skived film for liners, the firm said.

Bostik's adhesive sutis vacuum forming
Bostik Inc.'s new water-based laminating adhesive is suited for deep-draw vacuum forming of vinyl, ABS and primed polyolefins.
Bostik 8283 is a medium-viscosity, one-component adhesive with high initial bond strength. The modified polyurethane product can be spray applied for auto interior trim, textile and other assembly applications where manufacturers want to avoid volatile organic compounds.

Stepan Co. of Northfield, Ill., claims its new waterblown rigid polyurethane foam is dimensionally stable at densities as low as 2 pounds per cubic foot.

Ampacet improves white concentrates
Ampacet Corp.'s new highly loaded white concentrates have improved consistency and performance, according to the Tarrytown, N.Y.-based compounder.
Its T.S.T./200 series has titanium dioxide loadings of up to 80 percent.
It also allows fewer screen changes, reduced die buildup and better color uniformity, according to the company.
