ESSEN, GERMANY - Krupp Maschinentechnik GmbH of Essen has expanded its line of original equipment tools and molds. In the past, the company has supplied tooling and mold-making services for the machines of its sister company, Krupp Corpoplast Maschinenbau GmbH of Hamburg, Germany, and Formaplast of Essen.
It now offers tools and molds for makers of PET bottles, including ready-to-install tooling for preforms, and conversion kits.
UTI stock offering aids plants' projects
SANTA ANA, CALIF. - Urethane Technologies Inc. is expanding bulk chemical system facilities in Atlanta and Orange, Calif.
The expansions are two of the capital projects the company plans to undertake with part of the net proceeds of the $2.4 million UTI stock offering. In the offering, the company sold to a group of private investors 1.2 million shares of common stock, as well as warrants to buy another 600,000 shares of common stock at $7 per share before July 31, 1996.
Equipment has been ordered to produce bulk quantities of chemicals which will be used to produce rigid foam insulation systems for OEM building product manufacturers and on-site construction contractors, James Orefice, UTI's chairman and chief executive, said in a news release.
The expanded facilities represent a 40 percent expansion in production capacity.
UTI, based in Santa Ana, develops and markets proprietary polyurethane systems and production technology.
