LATHAM, N.Y. - A solid-body plastic pallet made by Loudon Plastics Inc. of Latham is suitable for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Loudon's Nestable Vers-Pal is a 48-inch-by-40-inch pallet made of structural foam injection molded high density polyethylene. It is used in food warehousing and distribution and will be listed in the USDA's ``Accepted Meat and Poultry Equipment'' booklet which identifies products acceptable for use by meat and poultry processors in food-contact applications.
Loudon Plastics is a division of the Cookson Molding Group Co., which is a unit of London-based materials group Cookson Group plc.
