FINDLAY, OHIO - O.K. Industries Inc., a Findlay-based recycler, has moved into a new, 57,000-square-foot manufacturing and office complex. James Kenyon, president of the 2-year-old company, said his grinding and cleaning operations had outgrown the former 15,000-square-foot facility, and that he will be adding one new grinding line to the four he already has in the new plant. Installation should be complete by early September.
O.K. does toll grinding of post-consumer and post-industrial polyethylene and polypropylene for bottle makers and compounders. The company also can process some engineering resins for automotive and other markets.
``The demand for recycled plastic is high right now, and we outgrew our old location in about two years,'' Kenyon said.
O.K. is grinding about 1 million pounds of material per month at the facility, and is looking at adding extrusion capabilities, as well as expanding the site next spring by about 60,000 square feet, Kenyon said.
