NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS - Casco Plastics Inc. recently expanded its New Braunfels injection molding plant, doubling the size of that facility, at a cost of $1.4 million including new presses. The 52,000-square-foot addition allows Casco to accommodate more presses and expand assembly and secondary operations. The company recently added four Cincinnati Milacron presses in sizes up to 400 tons of clamping force, bringing the total number of machines at New Braunfels to 32 ranging from 28-1,200 tons of clamping force. Over the next 18 months, Casco plans to bring the New Braunfels plant up to a full capacity of 46 machines.
In other news, the Wichita, Kan.-based company hired Dominic Pileggi as Casco's new president. Pileggi formerly served as president of Thomas and Betts Electrical Components division.
