MUNCIE, IND. - Ball Corp., a glass packaging giant that jumped into the PET bottle business this year, will build a second PET bottle plant, in Lysander, N.Y. The $50 million plant is to open in 1996. It mainly will serve the soft drink industry, primarily Clinton's Ditch Cooperative Co. Inc. of Cicero, N.Y., and Pepsi-Cola Allied Bottlers Inc. of Latham, N.Y.
Ball of Muncie recently said it will build a plant in Chino, Calif., for Western Pepsi affiliates.
