PHOENIX - Outwater Plastics Industries Inc. of Wood-Ridge, N.J., has leased a 58,000-square-foot building in Phoenix to serve as a warehouse distribution center for products for the building, architectural and cabinetmaking industries. Outwater spokeswoman Rosalie Conti said the company originally molded items such as plastic T-moldings and angle moldings for the building industry.
Today, the company does no manufacturing of its own but purchases products from manufacturers, including plastics processors that make proprietary products for Outwater's target customers.
Outwater distributes worldwide and has a 600-page catalog of moldings, lights, decorative columns and arches, hardware, cabinet doors, store fixtures and display items. According to Conti, the company is always open to looking at new products from manufacturers.
Outwater officials chose Phoenix to reduce shipping expenses and delivery times to its West Coast customers. The Phoenix warehouse is expected to open this month.
