AMERICAN MIRREX CORP. - Jim Compass was named chairman, president and chief executive officer of the New Castle, Del., manufacturer of sheet, film, packaging and specialty chemicals. He was vice president of performance products for Ethyl Corp.
BALL CORP. - David Sheldon was named executive vice president, packaging operations, and George Matsik was named president, international packaging division, for the Muncie, Ind., company.
BUSINESS COUNCIL - Edgar Woolard Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of DuPont Co., was elected chairman of the council for a second one-year term. Vice chairmen elected include Lawrence Bossidy, chairman and CEO of AlliedSignal Inc., and Ralph Larsen, chairman and CEO of Johnson & Johnson. The Washington-based council, formed in 1933 as the Business Advisory Council for the Department of Commerce, advises all elements of federal government.
CIMCO INC. - J. Terry Bagwell was named president of Medical Molding Corp. of America, the respiratory medical division of the Costa Mesa, Calif., manufacturer of thermoplastic components.
DEL-TOOL CO. INC. - The Baraboo, Wis., maker of custom injection molds announced three promotions: Dale Brinker from vice president to president; Douglas Brinker from CNC CAD/CAM manager to vice president/manufacturing; and Kirk Brinker from project manager to vice president/engineering.
DONNELLY CORP. - Russell Scaffede was named vice president of manufacturing for the Holland, Mich., automotive supplier.
GOEX CORP. - Josha Gray was elected president of the Janesville, Wis., manufacturer of custom engineered rigid sheet and roll stock. He was vice president of operations.
JOHNSON CONTROLS INC. - James Pell was named vice president and general manager of the company's plastics technology group in Manchester, Mich. He was vice president and general manager of plastic containers worldwide.
ROCK-TENN CO. - Jay Shuster was named president of the Atlanta recycler. He also is chief operating officer.
