DUSSELDORF, GERMANY - Butler Designs Ltd. of West Midlands, England, which makes tiny injection presses, showed three new machines in Dusseldorf. A new model 12/90H press has 10 tons of clamping force and a shot size of about a half a gram. The machine can mold parts by injecting up to the cavity or the split line, directly into the part, eliminating sprues and runners. Hot-runner molding also is possible, according to the company.
Another machine, model 12/90V with a vertical clamp, is aimed at companies that make small, insert-molded parts.
A third machine is for molding liquid silicone rubber.
