FOLEY, MINN. - Blow Molding Specialties, a custom molder based in Foley, recently moved into a 15,000-square-foot facility it purchased for an undisclosed sum. President Gary H. Zupfer said the new building gives the company more than double the square footage it formerly occupied in leased facilities.
The building allows the company to have all its operations under one roof and will accommodate planned expansion. Zupfer said Blow Molding Specialties now operates two machines, each with a 20-pound accumulator head. He plans to buy a third machine, which is to be installed in the next 90 days.
Zupfer, who has 20 years of experience in the blow molding industry, started Blow Molding Specialties a little more than three years ago. His specialty is providing customers with part design assistance.
The company also does secondary operations including assembly, and serves the recreational vehicle, golf accessory, recreational and exercise equipment markets. It employs 12.
