DUSSELDORF, GERMANY-Pallmann Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, a German maker of pulverizing equipment, showed a number of new machines, including mills and shredders. The new PS series of knife mills pulverizes plastic film, strips and ropes using a water-cooled knife rotor, preadjusted knives with quick knife changes, a hinged housing and easy access for cleaning and maintenance.
Series PKM disk mills are designed to pulverize brittle thermoplastics. The resulting powder can be used for extrusion and rotational molding.
Series PP counter-rotating turbo mills grind up materials that are heat sensitive, greasy or humid into powders with narrow grain-size distribution. The mills make powder for rotomolding, fabric coating, carpet backing, electrostatic coating and other applications.
Series B granulators are for recycling of plastic parts. They boast a compact design and low feeding height.
A shredder line, series PSP, is designed for extruders of roller blinds, window frames, railings and other profiles to make regrind.
Pallmann is based in Zweibricken, Germany. The company displayed the equipment at K'95 trade show, held in Dusseldorf.
