Manne did not disclose terms of the acquisition, which the firms completed Nov. 15.
Packaging Products has four coextrusion lines in Santa Ana and also makes bags and specialty roll stock for food processing and specialty industrial markets. It employs about 55.
Manne said Brawny Plastics Inc. extrudes LLDPE film and makes bags, sheets and roll stock for food processing and industrial customers. It employs 125.
Lee Marteney, former part owner of Packaging Products, will continue as president of the Santa Ana operation. He said he and his wife sold the operation because it would benefit as part of a larger business. They bought the company in 1981.

He changed the name to his firms' registered brand name to reflect its new national scope with the acquisition of the California operation. He did not disclose sales figures.
