PAINESVILLE, OHIO - An Ohio company that manufactures foam packaging is doing its part to blunt the environmental impact of Santa's largesse this year. B.B. Bradley Co. of Painesville, east of Cleveland, will park truck trailers at two regional malls Dec. 26 as collection points for foam block packaging and foam peanuts.
Julie Jenks, a spokeswoman for the company, said employees will assist anyone bringing materials to the trailers at the Great Lakes and Great Northern Malls between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. that day.
All materials collected will be used by Bradley to make more packaging materials, Jenks said, and consumers who drop off polystyrene that day will be given information about where they can recycle PS foam products year-round.
The company makes a range of custom packaging and shipping materials, including custom-shaped blocks and peanuts of PS, and polypropylene, polyurethane and polyethylene foams.
