DUSSELDORF, GERMANY - Xaloy Inc. showed a new one-piece bimetallic construction for injection molding barrels. Xaloy of Pulaski, Va., said the new ``unibody'' design eliminates the risk of pressure failure that can happen with two-piece barrels. A proprietary alloy steel and advanced metallurgy ensure the steel retains high strength after it is cast, the firm said. A patent is pending.
Xaloy exhibited with its sister company Bernex of Olten, Switzerland, at the K'95 show in Dusseldorf.
