PETERLEE, ENGLAND - Paris-based injection molder Neyr Plastiques SA will construct a $24.8 million state-of-the-art facility near Peterlee to produce components for the automotive and consumer electronics industries. Production at the plant is due to begin in October. About 200 jobs will be created, according to the firm.
The company supplies molded handles and other parts for Black & Decker Inc.'s hand-tool factory at Spennymoor, England. Neyr Plastiques also is a second-tier supplier to Nissan Motors Ltd. through Calsonic Climate Control Systems Ltd. of Shildon, England.
Neyr Plastiques operates six factories with 120 injection molding machines in Spain, the United States, the Czech Republic, France and England.
