ANAHEIM, CALIF. - Seitz Corp. recently completed installation of seven new injection molding presses and new robotics at its Torrington, Conn., plant. The presses have clamping forces of 40-300 tons, with shot sizes to 6.53 ounces. The company also added robotic loaders and unloaders for seven-day, 24-hour, high-volume production, said marketing manager Sharon LeGault.
For the medical industry, Seitz offers services including white-room molding, Class 100,000 clean-room assembly and packing, and prototyping capabilities.
In prototyping, Seitz can use insert tools capable of manufacturing 50,000 production-quality parts, LeGault said Feb. 6 at the Medical Design & Manufacturing West show in Anaheim.
