MEXICO CITY - Signs of economic recovery seem to be prompting fresh interest in PlastImagen '96, Mexico's major international plastics show. Organizers of the annual event, taking place in Mexico City on March 12-15, are reporting that while many exhibitors are taking less show space, 60 new firms - many Mexican - will have a display this year.
``So far, we have more companies than last year with less space. We have already sold 82 percent of our total area,'' said Elena Maribona de Bernal, executive director of the show's organizer, Organizacion de Promociones y Exposiciones SA de CV.
More than 200 firms have booked space.
Maribona said Oprex aims to have nearly 300 firms exhibit. The show is expected to attract 15,000 visitors.
