TUSCALOOSA, ALA. - Timber Energy Plastic Recycling Inc., a Tuscaloosa recycler, has added a blending system and other equipment to expand its product range. Greg Mills, plant manager of Tepri, said the system has been in operation since early January, blending film-grade pellets from post-consumer scrap.
The Tuscaloosa plant now has capacity for about 15 million to 20 million pounds of pellets per year. Tepri pelletizes post-consumer high, low and linear low density polyethylene film scrap. Mills said the additional equipment included size-reduction units, and quality-control systems.
