MOUNTAIN VIEW, ARK. - Progressive Innovations Inc. of Mountain View offers a new automated collection system. The firm designed and developed the parts collection system for use with injection molding machines, automated assembly machines and end-of-line conveyors.
The system, which is 7 feet long, 6 feet tall and 39 inches deep, has two vertical stacking conveyors and one horizontal conveyor to allow for efficient use of floor space. It is on casters and has a 120 VAC power requirement, providing mobility and flexibility.
It can fill five 24-inch by 16-inch by 12-inch totes before an operator is required to remove the totes. An operator interface panel provides such features as a parts counter for inventory control and feedback on any error condition that might exist. The system can be customized to meet specific manufacturing requirements.
Progressive's vice president, Dianna Musgrave, said the system is the company's first standardized system. The unit can be used with pick-and-place robotic systems and saves press operators from having to bend over.
The system also can accommodate a lights-out manufacturing operation.
