CARY, ILL. - The thermoplastic elastomer division of GLS Corp. has expanded its facility in Cary. John Marshall, marketing manager for the division, declined to comment on the size of the expansion or the plant, but said the firm will add a new line to manufacture the firm's soft TPEs marketed under the Dynaflex brand name.
The company produces application-specific TPE compounds and offers Shell Chemical Co.'s Kraton-brand thermoplastic rubber compounds for the medical, sports and leisure, automotive, electrical/electronic, plumbing and industrial markets.
The TPE division of GLS is the only manufacturing portion of the company, which also operates trucking and transportation, and composite materials distribution businesses.
