Roplast anti-fog film lets produce breathe
Roplast Industries Inc. of Oroville, Calif., is producing a new anti-fog film for fresh-cut produce.
A high-performance polyethylene film, Roplin-brand film is modified with blended resin to prevent packages from becoming opaque on the shelf.
Featured in open-mouth bags with hermetic zipper closures, or tape adhesive closures, the films are customized for individual product respiration.

An extension of Carlisle's popular Ruffies-brand bag line, Color Scents-brand bags offer strong 8-color graphics to enhance the bags' shelf presence and to support the scents they contain.

DeWal Industries Inc. said it worked for four years to develop a range of melt-processable fluoropolymer films that it offers in widths to 38 inches.
The Saunderstown, R.I., company said the films are designed for impermeable linings and similar uses.

HD Plastics cutting corners with Easi-Sac
HD Plastics Ltd. of Warwick, N.Y., has introduced Easi-Sac and Easi-Tray-brand carriers for carry-out foods, including boxed pizza, drinks and salads.
The Easi-Sacs are large, handled polyethylene bags with the corners eliminated to accommodate the square corners of pizza boxes. The bags are easier to print than the boxes themselves, and delivery personnel can carry several boxes horizontally, without damaging the contents, according to the company.

Lantech touts system for unstable loads
Lantech Inc. of Louisville, Ky., has introduced its S-Series semi-automated overhead stretch-wrapping system targeting the stabilization of tall, lightweight or unstable shipping loads.
Using the machinery, the item to be shipped does not have to be rotated in the wrapping process. Loading or unloading with a fork lift, or pallet jack from wrapping is eliminated, if the system is added to a conveyor configuration.
