20th Century Plastics' Brea, Calif., plant received a $12 million loan from CIT Group/ Business Credit of New York. 20th Century Plastics makes and supplies vinyl and poly-propylene photographic, organizational and storage products for offices. It plans to use the loan to refinance a debt and to finance the recent acquisitions of two companies - BOK Industries Inc. of LeRoy, N.Y., and Light Impressions Inc. of Rochester, N.Y.
20th Century Plastics buys plastic film then folds it and sells it to mass merchants, discount stores and office superstores as well as through direct mail. The products include plastic sleeves for book reports, plastic binders and plastic casings.
The acquisitions complement the company's product line and market. BOK manufactures and markets information-presentation and storage products. Light Impressions markets and supplies high-quality archival products for the storage, preservation and display of photographs, rare documents and collectibles.
