Custom injection molder Priority Manufacturing Corp. has moved from Leominster, Mass., to a larger building in nearby Fitchburg. The company was founded as a mold testing facility for Mar-Lee Mold, a Leominster mold maker. To meet customer demand, Mar-Lee began longer production runs. Last year, the company bought a complex of two 5-year-old buildings in Fitchburg. Priority Manufacturing moved in, occupying 40,000 square feet of the space. The company is lea sing out the remaining 26,000 square feet, but Priority could expand there in the future. Priority Manufacturing runs 14 presses, with clamping forces from 22 tons to the newest press, a 750-ton Engel. Priority took delivery of the Engel in January. The machine is running a part for Safety First Inc. of Chestnut Hill, Mass. - a plastic safety gate to block children and pets from stairways. Its customers include Tupperware, Bose Corp. and Polaroid Corp.
