The third edition of Safe Handling of Advanced Composite Materials includes new sections on health and environmental terminology and an overview of regulatory agencies, legislative bodies and health organizations. Previous editions were published in 1989 and 1991. The health and safety working group of the Society of Advanced Composite Materials Association updated the booklet to address the workplace hazards of advanced materials, familiarize users with terminology and concepts common to the industry and supplement suppliers' product information. The booklet does not replace material safety data sheets.
