WASHINGTON - H. Patrick Jack, senior vice president, chemicals, at Fina Oil and Chemical Co. in Dallas, will serve a one-year term as Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. board chairman, following elections May 23-24 in Washington. G. Watts Humphrey Jr., chairman and chief ex-ecutive of Conair Group in Pittsburgh, is immediate past chairman.
Harry B. Ussery, president of Beacon Plastics Inc. in Greenville, S.C., will serve as 1996-1997 vice chairman; Arthur J. Goodsel, president of Huron Plastics Group Inc. in Port Huron, Mich., was elected to a one-year term as treasurer.
David Birney, president of Solvay Polymers, based in Houston, was re-elected to a third one-year term as board secretary.
Six new SPI board directors also will begin service June 1. They are Phillip Ashkettle, president and chief executive of Reichhold Chemicals Inc. in Re-search Tri-angle Park, N.C.; Peter F. Bemis, executive vice president of Bemis Manu-facturing Co. of Sheboy-gan Falls, Wis.; Tom Gill, regional director, engineering polymers for DuPont Co. in Wilmington, Del.; Andrae Lehner, president of Omega Tool Inc. of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; Richard Urso, president, plastics division of Budd Co. of Troy, Mich.; and Don Willerth, president and chief executive of Trans Container Corp. in Upland, Calif.
