LEOMINSTER, MASS. - Modern Dis-persions Inc., a Leominster-based compounder, said it plans to grow again after completing a 50,000-square-foot expansion earlier this year. The expansion, started in 1994, is on the same site as another 50,000-square-foot compounding facility the company owns.
Now in operation are 53- and 120-millimeter twin-screw extruders.
The lines are equipped with strand and water ring pelletizing capabilities.
The company plans to add two more extruders - 120mm and 160mm - within two years, and hopes to add 25 employees to its staff of 120.
Modern Dispersions targets polypropylene fiber, polystyrene and PET black concentrate, as well as other engineering resin-based black concentrates.
The company also has a plant in Fitzgerald, Ga.
