DELRAY BEACH, FLA.-Empire of Carolina Inc. announced a public stock offering June 25 to raise about $37.2 million to pay debt and for general purposes. The Delray Beach-based toy producer said it will offer 1.4 million shares at $12 per share. Certain stockholders also will offer about 1.7 million shares at the same price. William Blair & Co. L.L.C. of Chicago and Gerard Klauer Mattison & Co. L.L.C. of New York will co-manage the underwriting. The firms have an option to buy about 469,000 additional shares for overallotments.
