COUNCIL GROVE, KAN. - Quality Profile Services added a 900-square-foot clean room and two medical profile lines recently at its headquarters plant in Council Grove. ``The medical people want to run their products in a clean room, and we want them to be relaxed about quality. We have rigid quality standards, especially for the medical business,'' said Radford Wilson, vice president of sales.
The firm invested about $5,000 in the expansion, which took place about two months ago. Quality Profile Services did not invest in new extruders because it had idle extruders that are now in the clean room.
The company added three employees and plans to add three more to the staff of 47.
In the 38,000-square-foot plant, Quality Profile Services said it has seven profile extrusion lines using vinyl, PVC, ABS, high density polyethylene and fluoropolymers.
The company serves the automotive, window and door, display, food, and building and construction industries.
Quality Profile reported sales of $4.5 million for the year ended Dec. 31.
