TOKYO-Honda Motor Co. said July 5 that it will set up a recycling company jointly with Itochu Corp. and EIN-Engineering Co. The Tokyo-based firm, Honda U.G.R. Co., will operate at a plant in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is 45 percent owned by Honda, 25 percent by Itochu, 15 percent by EIN-Engineering and 15 percent by three other firms. The plant is scheduled to start production in April. It will collect plastic parts from Honda plants, separate material by resin, and develop new products from the materials.
