WASHINGTON - Both the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. and the American Plastics Council, which together take up four floors of one building in Washington's business district, will move in late December to 1801 K St. N.W. SPI will have 42,000 square feet; APC will have 15,000 square feet in the office suite formerly occupied by Price Waterhouse & Co.'s Washington office.
SPI, which takes up three floors of 1275 K St. N.W., will have room for its entire staff on its floor, plus some new amenities such as a member lounge with office services.
Red Cavaney, APC president, said the move became necessary in part because SPI's lease expires at the end of 1996. Now named on SPI's lease, APC will negotiate its own lease in the new building.
``From APC's perspective, we negotiated to get close to them [SPI],'' Cavaney said.
