ARLINGTON, VA. - Leslie Jay Cohen was named in July as chairman of the technical affairs committee for Suppliers of Advanced Composite Materials Association, an Arlington-based trade group. He is director of business development for the Culver City, Calif.-based Culver City Composites Corp. subsidiary of American Materials & Technologies Corp.
Earlier, the SACMA board reelected Chairman D.J. DeLong, business manager of carbon fibers for Amoco Corp.'s polymers business group, Alpharetta, Ga.; Vice Chairman Doug Brown, business director of Ciba-Geigy Ltd.'s polymers division, Brewster, N.Y.; and Secretary-Treasurer Juan Chorne, product manager for Hexcel Corp.'s composites group, Pleasanton, Calif.
Brown heads the group's market expansion committee; Tom Gardiner of Shell Chemical Co., the environmental health and safety committee; and Jeffrey Abboud of the SACMA staff, the government affairs committee.
