NORWALK, CALIF. - Cerritos College in Norwalk, in cooperation with the Western Section of the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc., is holding an open house and tour of its Plastics/Composites Technology Center on Sept. 25. Terry Price, director of the center, will showcase the college's equipment and give an overview of classes that can benefit plastics companies in Southern California.
Programs include computer-aided design systems, computer-integrated manufacturing, composites, plastics technology, materials science and metallurgy.
Registration begins at 2:30 p.m. at Cerritos.
The keynote address will be given by Clare Goldsberry, correspondent for Plastics News, who will speak on Industry and Education Partnerships.
A tour of the facilities and a reception will follow. Cost is a $10 donation.
