PITTSFIELD, MASS.-The Berkshire Plastics Network, based in Pittsfield, will conduct a seminar series around the topic ``Trends 2000 - Pathway to Plastics Profitability.'' The first seminar will be held Oct. 22-23 at the Cranwell Resort in Lenox, Mass.
Keynote speaker Brian Jones, president of injection molder Nypro-Clinton, the Clinton, Mass.-based unit of Nypro Inc., will discuss customer intimacy; Akron, Ohio-based Plastics News Publisher Tony Eagan will talk about communication in the plastics industry; Agostino von Hassel, a partner at New York-based Repton Group, will look at economic trends affecting injection molders; Peter Hilton, a consultant for Technology Strategies Group of Concord, Mass., will talk about rapid product development; and Dracut, Mass.-based A. Routisis Associates President Andy Routisis will focus on interactive training.
Cost is $495. Other seminar dates in the series have not been determined.
BPN is a 10-year-old consortium of more than 40 Berkshire County plastics companies.
