Himont Inc. announced polypropylene resin hikes of 2 cents a pound for nonauto grades. The average market price for general purpose, homopolymer PP injection resins was 34-35 cents per pound.
Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. of Bolton, Ontario, unveiled its first large-tonnage injection press made in the United States. The 1,000-tonner sold to StarCade Inc. of Grand Rapids, Mich., was made in Epco's Fremont, Ohio, facility.
