TRENTON, N.J. — Lawrence Mold and Tool Corp., a Trenton-based molder, has completed a $2 million expansion. The company added six injection presses and moved its injection operations to a 27,000-square-foot facility, also in Tren-ton, two months ago.
The tooling company and its sister firm, Mercer Molding, serve the appliance, computer, construction, hospital equipment, infant care and jewel case markets.
The injection presses, with clamping forces of 85-600 tons, test the molds before the customers begin processing.
Lawrence Mold and Tool also has an 8,000-square-foot plant that houses its mold-making equipment, computer numerically controlled turn center and other machines. The company employs 40.
