TALLMADGE, OHIO — Summit Plastic Co., the thermoforming division of Vaughan's Seed Co., was purchased for an undisclosed amount Jan. 1.
Norman Belliveau, president of Tallmadge-based Summit Plastic for the last seven years, and Charles Snyder, vice president, purchased the company. The name will remain the same. The firm uses mainly polystyrene for the horticultural industry and employs about 50.
The 40-year-old company had been owned by Vaughan since 1975. Belliveau would not disclose the number of machines Summit has.
``We're excited about the future,'' Belliveau said. ``This has been a dream and personal goal for many years.''
