BROOKFIELD, CONN. — The Society of Plastics Engineers, through its affiliated Institute for Plastics Certification, will hold its first review course at this year's Annual Technical Conference in Toronto, the day before the certification examination.
Teaching the four-hour review session April 28 will be Bonnie Bachman, SPE's 1994 president. The cost is $300 for members of SPE and $375 for nonmembers.
On April 29, the plastics technologist certification exam will be given.
Cost of the exam is $125 for SPE members and $175 for nonmembers.
The certification program is aimed at people who have a plastics-related college degree. Brookfield-based SPE gave its first certification exam at the 1996 ANTEC in Indianapolis.
This year's ANTEC in Toronto will run April 27-May 2. SPE also is offering the tests at locations across the country.
