MAKATI CITY, PHILIPPINES—Petrochemical Corp. of Asia Pacific is expanding the capacity of its polypropylene plant to 485 million pounds per year, from the current 352 million pounds per year.
Petrocorp of Makati City will invest 686 million pesos (US$26 million) in the project. President Antonio M. Garcia said the expansion is scheduled to be completed by April 1998. The PP plant is located in Limay, Philippines, north of Manila.
The project is part of Petrocorp's strategy to get a bigger share of the growing domestic PP market.
