EDWARDSBURG, MICH. — Better Bath Components, an Edwardsburg thermoformer, broke ground at the end of January to add 76,600 square feet to its 103,400-square-foot Waxahachie, Texas, plant.
The addition, to be completed June 1, will house two new thermoforming machines and one existing machine, as well as provide space for expansion through 2000.
``We're very much dedicated to growth,'' said President Rich Clark.
The new, 6-foot-by-9-foot rotary machines will be delivered in June and August and were purchased to handle increased demand, Clark said. About 40-50 employees will be added to the staff of 225. Also, 2,500 square feet in office space will be added.
Better Bath, a 12-year-old firm, is headquartered in the 60,000-square-foot Edwardsburg plant, which employs 50. The company reported thermoforming sales of $47 million last year. It serves the building and construction industry with parts made from ABS.
