DEARBORN, MICH. — The Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing '97 Conference and Exposition, to be held April 22-24 in Dearborn, will feature keynote speakers from 3M Co. in St. Paul, Minn., and a rapid prototyping consulting group.
The conference is sponsored by the Rapid Prototyping Association of the Dearborn-based Society of Manufacturing Engineers and will be held at the Hyatt Regency hotel.
Conference speakers include William Coyne, vice president of research and development at 3M, and Terry Wohlers, president of Wohlers Associates Inc., a Fort Collins, Colo., consulting group. Wohlers also will have copies available of his annual rapid prototyping industry study, which is due out at the end of April.
Wohlers and Coyne will speak at the Industry Perspectives session April 22.
The conference also includes concurrent sessions on rapid prototyping issues, a panel discussion with equipment suppliers on plans for the coming year and an exposition featuring 121 companies. The exposition will be open April 23 from 9:30 a.m to 6 p.m., and April 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
