SPRINGDALE, ARK.—Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. will receive $750,000 from its insurance carrier, St. Paul Marine and Fire Insurance Co., for a Dec. 15 fire at the Rogers, Ark. plant.
AERT claimed total damage of $1.95 million. The St. Paul, Minn., insurer already advanced AERT $350,000. The plastic lumber maker also announced it has obtained a new fire insurance carrier, but did not disclose the firm.
Springdale-based AERT has had five fires at its facilities since January 1993. It recycles post-consumer low and high density polyethylene for use in its composite building materials.
